Ernestine is the wife of the sports columnist and commentator Skip Bayless. Her husband is well-known for his work as a commentator on the ESPN2 show First Take with Stephen A. Smith.

The duo first met in 2005 at ESPN. After a pleasant conversation and exchange of business cards, the two started dating soon after. On their first date, they bonded over classic TV shows and music. After dating for years, the couple got engaged on April 29 2011.

Five years later, Ernestine and Skip exchanged wedding vows on July 28 2016. Since then, the couple has stayed together. They don’t share any children.

In 2019, she authored the book “BALLS: How to Keep Your Relationship Alive When You Live with a Sports-Obsessed Guy.” In her book, she wrote pro tips on keeping the romance alive when it feels like your partner comes from a different world.

On the other hand, her husband hosts his show on Fox Sports called “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed“. Before, he earned immense popularity among sports lovers as a commentator on the ESPN2 show “First Take“.
