Cecily was once in a relationship with her SNL co-star Mike O’Brien. The pair first met on the set of SNL and started dating in 2014. A year later, rumors that the two split circulated in the media.
Although the duo did not confirm their split, Cecily spilled the beans on her new Italian boyfriend, whom she met during her visit to Spain during an interview in 2016. She didn’t reveal more about their relationship afterwards.
As of now, Cecily is in a relationship with her new boyfriend, Jack. Though she has kept mostly private about her love life, she has provided more insight into her boyfriend in her memoir “This Will All Be Over Soon.”

Cecily Dreamt of Joining SNL as a Child
Growing up, Cecily was a huge SNL fan and reenacted sketches with her friend. She even stated that Phil Hartman inspired her. Fast forward to a couple of years, she became a regular performer at The Second City and iO Chicago. She also appeared at the Chicago Sketch Fest, Chicago Just for Laughs, Bailiwick Theater and the Mercury Theater. Nonetheless, she made her debut in SNL on September 15, 2012.
Cecily became a repertory player the following season and co-anchored the recurring Weekend Update segment with Seth Meyers. Likewise, she briefly co-anchored Colin Jost. In 2020, she earned a nomination for her first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series.

Cecily Legler Strong was born in 1984 in Springfield, Illinois. She celebrates her birthday on February 8, which makes her age 36. She was born to parents – Penelope and William “Bill” Strong. Her father works as the managing partner at a Chicago public relations firm, while her mother is a nurse practitioner. Her parents are divorced.
Cecily attended Oak Park and River Forest High School and graduated from Chicago Academy for the Arts. She also studied acting at the California Institute of the Arts.
