27, Olympia Valance is the ‘Neighbours’ girl next door since 2014. When she reprised the role of Paige Smith for the show’s 35th anniversary in 2020, viewers couldn’t resist tunning into the soap opera again. Well, she owns that charm.
The Aussie actress grew up watching the show and her older half-sister, Holly Valance, who portrayed pretty and self-assured Felicity “Flick” Scully in ‘Neighbours.’ She wasn’t only satisfied with commercials and modeling assignments. Olympia yearned to fit on the screen of an Australian soap opera, ‘Neighbours.’
The Soap Opera Changed Everything
At 21, she underwent over the four auditions for the role. It was a tiring job, but she accumulated all her zeal to follow the footsteps of Holly. She knew if she was on ‘Neighbours,’ she wouldn’t have to pass by her struggling phase once more. When Olympia was summoned for the role, she first rang good news with Holly.

Olympia was accurate. The soap opera treasured her nominations for Most Popular New Talent at the Logie Awards. What’s more, the UK lingerie brand ‘Gossard’ honored Olympia as its new face. She was over the moon, working in both of her dream project: the soap opera and ‘Gossard.’
“The last year has been a whirlwind and to work with such an established name as Gossard is a dream comes true. I absolutely love working on Neighbors and the fact that I am able to come over to England and do an incredible campaign like this is a credit to the show’s following, both here and down under.”
Following the Australian chocolate bar Cherry Ripe, as well as the Jeep Marquee’s offer for ambassador, California-based agency Roar, wasted no time to seal the contract with her. It’s the same agency that looked after elite professional actors, Liam, and Chris Hemsworth.
In 2018, she bided a heartfelt goodbye to her favorite show, ‘Neighbors.’ The entertainment chain industry didn’t let her plan holidays. Instead, she occupied her in sports drama Playing For Keeps, the sixteenth season of Dancing with the Stars, and a judge on Australia’s Got Talent: Challengers & Champions. Thus, she enjoys a ballpark net worth of $1 million, and the credit goes to a daytime television show, ‘Neighbours’, which ran over 30 years.
Dating An AFL Footballer
Its unbelievable how her sports drama, ‘Playing for Keeps’ has an uncanny resemblance. She plays Tahlia, a fiancé of the captain of an Australian Rules football team. And off the screen, she is in a relationship with AFL Footballer Tom Bellchambers. But she says it isn’t as dramatic as the TV screen. She finds it funny as she shares a similar love-life connection in both.
“It’s kind of like life imitating art. Quite comical.”
“Who would have thought? It’s funny because I don’t know, it can’t really help (for my role) but a lot of things we did in the show last season are quite factual,”

During the rage of the global pandemic, the couple is dwelling in the Daylesford/Hepburn region, far away from Melbourne’s hectic schedules. They are enjoying one another company by working together in household chores, gardening, and chicken farm. Normally, she hadn’t been able to ‘get this much time at home.’ Somehow, the duo has learned to stay positive and motivational most of the time amidst the groundhog days.
“…I used to get a lot of my energy and motivation from having a super structured routine and running at 100 miles an hour, so it’s required a totally different way of looking at things to keep me positive and upbeat, especially when things start to feel a bit like groundhog day!”
