Career as an NBA Star
Rajon was drafted as the 21st overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2006 NBA draft. However, he was traded to Boston Celtics. On July 4, 2006, he signed with the team and made his debut as a rookie in the 2006-07 season. He earned his first NBA championship, playing alongside stars like Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.
In 2014, Rajon was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The following year, he signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the Sacramento Kings. For the 2016 season, he signed a two-year, $28 million contract with the Chicago Bulls. In 2017, Rajon signed another one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans worth $3.3 million.
In 2018, Rajon signed a one-year deal with the Los Angles Lakers for $9 million before re-signing in 2019. He won his second NBA title in 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers. On November 23, 2020, he signed a multi-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks. He was traded to Los Angeles Clippers on March 25 2021, and later to the Memphis Grizzlies on August 16. Finally, he signed a one-year deal with the Lakers on August 31.
