Russell Wilson is a well-known NFL player who plays in quarterback position for the Seattle Seahawks. Initially playing for North Carolina State University and the University of Wisconsin, he started his career with the Seahawks in 2012. Married Twice Divorce Once

Russell first shared his married life with the businesswoman, Ashton Meem. The duo first met in high school in 2006 at St. Catherine’s School in Richmond. After few years of dating, the pair exchanged vows at the Country Club Virginia on January 14 2012. However, two years later, the duo announced that they were parting ways and made their separation official on April 22 2014.

The reason for the duo’s split was the NFL player’s affair with the R&B singer, Ciara. After his divorce, Russell and Ciara made their dating official in early 2015 and announced their engagement on March 11, 2016.

Russell tied the knot for the second time on July 6, 2016, at the Peckforton Castle. Russell and his second wife introduced their first child, a daughter, on April 28, 2017, followed by a son, Win Harrison Wilson, on July 23 2020. The NFL player is also a stepfather to Ciara’s son, Future Zahir.

Russell Wilson’s NFL Journey

Russell had an impressive football record in high school and college. He finished his high school career with multiple all-district, all-region, and all-state honours and the title Conference Player of the Year. He also played minor league baseball during his college years, and in 2012, he announced he would be training for the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine.

The Seattle Seahawks chose him in the third round as the 75th pick overall. Throughout his time with the Seahawks, Russell earned titles such as Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, PPF Offensive Rookie of the Year, and ranked #51 on the NFL Top 100 of 2013.

Besides, Russell also earned the title for Pro Bowls seven-time and has started in two Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XLVII. He signed a four-year contract extension with the Seahawks valued at $87.6 million.

In 2019, Russell signed another four-year $140 million contract extension with a $65 million signing bonus, making it the highest deal in NFL history. With his money, he bought a waterfront mansion in Bellevue, Washington. As of 2021, Russell Wilson holds a net worth of $135 million with an annual salary of $35 million.

Russell Wilson is of European Heritage

Russell Carrington Wilson was born in 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He celebrates his birthday on November 29, which makes his age 32. He was born to Harrison Benjamin Wilson III, a lawyer, and Tammy Wilson, a legal nurse consultant.

Russell has a brother, Harrison IV, and a sister, Anna. He attended Collegiate School and North Carolina State University before graduating from the University of Wisconsin.

He has a mixed ethnicity of African-American and European. According to his genetic admixture analysis, he is 62% African, 36% European, 1% West Asian and 1% Central Asian. He stands tall at the height of 5 feet 11 inches and weighs around 98 kg.
