Here is everything you need to know about the actor.
From Saving Marriage to Divorce with His Wife
Thomas’ personal life came into the spotlight after he became engaged to costume designer Mollie Gates in June 2015. The couple took no time to exchange vows as they tied the knot in August 2015 in Middleditch’s hometown.
Thomas had started dating Mollie in 2012. The actor once provided insight into his marriage with Playboy in 2019. During the interview, the Silicon Valley actor said that he and his wife were in an open relationship, and they were in a swinging lifestyle. Moreover, Thomas even shared that their style helped save their marriage. He told:
“Only after I got married was I like, ‘Mollie, I’m sorry, but we have to get nontraditional here.’ To her credit, instead of saying ‘F–k you, I’m out,’ she was like, ‘Let’s figure this out. To be honest, swinging has saved our marriage.
He continued:
We have different speeds, and we argue over it constantly, but it’s better than feeling unheard and alone and that you have to scurry in the shadows.”
Unfortunately, it was definitely not enough to save the marriage, as in May 2020, Mollie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple finalized their divorce on 8 April 2021. Thomas agreed to pay his now ex-wife more than $2 million as part of the divorce settlement.
