In 2013, Burna created “Like to Party” alongside producer LeriQ, which marked his rise to prominence. The same year, he released his debut studio album “L.I.F.E,” which featured guest slots from Timaya, Wizkids, 2face, and M.I.

Eight months after parting ways with Aristocrat Records, Burna founded the record label Spaceship Entertainment in February 2015. In November of the same year, he dropped his second album “On a Spaceship.” The next year, he released his 7-track debut EP “Redemption”, whose single “Pree Me” debuted on Noisey.

In 2017, Burna was signed to Atlantic Records imprint Bad Habit and Warner Music International for territories outside Africa. His third studio album “Outside” came on 26 January 2018 and won “Album of the Year” at the 2018 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. On 26 July 2019, Burna dropped his fourth studio album “African Giant.” His fifth album Twice as Tall, which he released in August 2020 on Atlantic Records/Bad Habit/Warner Music International,  and his own label, Spaceship Collective, won the 2021 Grammy Award for the best global music album and reached No. 1 on the World Albums chart. The album also debuted at No. 54 on the all-genre Billboard 200.

Burna has currently been touring the songs from his fifth album. His sixth album called “Love, Damini” is set to release on his 31st birthday, July 2.
