He Hails from Stamford, Lincolnshire
Originally from Stamford, Lincolnshire, Colin Furze was born on October 14, 1979, which makes him a Libra. He is the youngest and the only son born to his parents. He has an elder sister named Ellie.
Furze has always loved making things out of Lego and junk since he was a kid. His mother fostered cats for The Cats Protection Society, so there were always a few cats and kittens around, and he recalls creating a hotel out of a box for them.
His biggest hobby as a kid was BMX riding, and it was shooting himself and his buddies executing flatland tricks that started him off filming. But by the time, he discovered YouTube, he had already lost his father.
He is a Former Plumber
After leaving school at age 16, Furze started a plumbing apprenticeship. He remained as a plumber until 2011, which gave him experience working with tools, gadgets, and engineering.
Furze made his TV debut as the ‘Mystery Guest’ in Episode 1, Series 3 of Russell Howard’s Good News. He then had a presenting role on a series called Gadget Geeks on Sky1. He’s also made appearances on the Science Channel show Outrageous Acts of Science and the E4 show Virtually Famous. In addition, his inventions were featured on Great British Inventions, hosted by David Jason, on February 11, 2020, episode.
The former plumber has also established himself as one of the highest-earning YouTubers. His self-titled YouTube channel has amassed 11.5 million subscribers with over 1.3 billion views, as of December 13, 2021. He is also an author of the book titled “This Book Isn’t Safe.”
He’s Worth Millions
Once a plumber, Furze is now a millionaire. His major source of income has been the YouTube platform, where his videos amass millions of views every month. Some of his projects such as a bunker underneath his back garden have been founded by television and video game franchises for promotion.
Furze also makes decent money from selling his inventions. Though it’s obvious that Furze is a millionaire, the specific digit of his net worth is still unknown. However, he is roughly worth over $4 million.
The Zany inventor has been dating Charlotte Stapling since 2006. He bought his first house with his girlfriend in 2009. Though the couple has been together for over 15 years, it’s still unclear whether the two are married.
Married or not? But Furze and his girlfriend have already experienced parenthood. They share two kids – a son named Jake, born in 2012, and a daughter named Erin. Their son is already the beneficiary of his father’s wild ideas and inventions. Furze has built his son a giant Star Wars AT-ACT in their back garden.
