At just the age of 14, Brevis was selected for Affies’ first team. As a U-15 player, he scored three centuries for Affies with a batting average of 196. He was named U-15 Titans player of the year.
Brevis was presented with an award as he scored 140 runs off 82 balls. When he was an Affies’ senior batsman, he was the leading run-scorer in the Pretoria league.

AB de Villiers has undoubtedly served as an inspiration to many aspiring cricketers around the world. And it appears that Dewald Brevis is following in his footsteps.
