Here is everything you need to know about Nine’s long-time presenter, Erin Molan.
A Long-time Presenter for the Nine Network
Erin Molan works for the Nine Network as a presenter. She is the first full-time female panelist and co-host in the show’s 22-year history, and she co-hosted the extremely popular and Logie-award winning NRL Footy Show from 2012 to 2018.
Molan also contributes to Channel 9 News and The Sunday NRL Footy Show as a presenter and reporter. She is the sideline reporter for Channel 9’s enormously popular Friday Night Football, as well as the host of the new reality show “The Rookie” and the presenter of Channel 9’s Boxing coverage.
Her primary interest in journalism has always been sports and news, which she has covered as a television, radio, and print reporter for over 12 years. She became a full-time panelist in 2014 after joining The Footy Show full-time in 2012 as the host of Late Mail.
Molan is a regular on Sydney and Brisbane radio, with a weekly sports feature on WSFM’s Amanda and Jonesy every Friday morning. She also contributes to the NRL Official Website and Rugby League Week Magazine with weekly columns.
Molan and Her Fiance Recently Called it Quits
In September this year, Molan publicly announced breaking up with her fiance, homicide Detective Sean Ogilvy, with whom she shares a three-year-old daughter Eliza Emily Ogilvy. The two had been together since 2016 and were engaged in April 2017.
A month after the split, Molan revealed to 9 Honey that it had been a difficult transition since she and her fiance, Ogilvy, separated. She said:
“Sean loves Eliza more than the world, and so do I. It’s certainly an adjustment. You go from being with the most important person in your life 24/7 to then having to share your child and that’s really, really tough.
The Channel 9 sports reporter added:
“But we’re both really blessed in that she is our priority and always will be and whatever is best for her, we do. And that is something I never have to worry about and something he never has to worry about.”
Despite being separated, Molan and Ogilvy share the same priority in their life i.e. their daughter’s future.
One of Four Children Born to Her Parents
