Although Marquel Martin failed to find love in the Bachelor shows, he found the love of his life after returning home from Bachelor in Paradise in 2014. He will be spending the rest of his life with his fiancé Kari Kaisner, a sibling of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Darren Jay Ashba.

Kari was Marquel’s Neighbor and Business Partner
Marquel had appeared on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette and later on Bachelor in Paradise in 2014. Upon returning home from Bachelor in Paradise, he came across Kari Kaisner, who was his neighbor.
After Marquel asked Kari to join him for his new venture, Social Cookie, the duo soon started hanging out and later became a business partner.
In one of the interviews, Marquel said:
“We were hanging out more and more, and I just loved every moment I got to spend with her. I told her about this new company I was starting, Social Cookie,”
“And I asked her to be a part of it because she has experience in marketing and is such a hard working woman.”, the reality star shared.
Kari Supported him in Hard Times
Marquel first realized that Kari was the one when she went out of her way to support him during his difficult time. She stayed with him during his heart condition diagnosis and when his dad had amputation surgery.
The former Bachelor star said:
“One minute I thought I was this hot young bachelor. And then the next I had suffered all these setbacks and lost all my confidence. But she pulled me out of my depression.”
He added:
“She showed me love, she prayed with me, and lifted my spirits any way she could.”
No matter who you are or where you’re from, 2020 has been tough on everyone. But it also taught us the importance of health, family, and having love in your life. Marquel gushed:
“Kari embodies all those things for me, which is why I knew I needed to lock it down before the year ended.”, he later added.
Finally Engaged!!!
Upon realizing how perfect Kari was for him, Marquel knew he had to put a ring on her finger. He planned a surprise proposal during a fun holiday getaway to Las Vegas’ Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa.
Behind the scenes, The Bachelor alum had also invited Kari’s parents and sister from Illinois to attend the special day.
Marquel popped the question with a diamond ring and decorated the space with candles and rose petals on December 19, 2020. He announced the news on Instagram sharing a picture of himself and his new fiancée popping the champagne, where he wrote, “and she said Yes!!!”.
The lovey-dovey couple has nearly been engaged for about a year now, but they have yet to exchange wedding vows.
