Brady and his second-wife, Taketa, welcomed a daughter, Maile Masako Brady, in 2003. However, their marriage only lasted for a few years as the pair separated in 2006 and divorced in 2008. Brady made his TV debut, appearing in an episode of Superboy in 1990. He then guest-starred in I’ll Fly Away and In the Heat of the Night. Later, he became a regular performer on the American version of the show—a role which earned him three Emmy nominations, taking home the third one in 2003.
Brady has also starred in movies such as Going to the Mat, Roll Bounce, Crossover, and more. He hosted the Miss America pageant in 2001 and 2002 and hosted the variety show, The Wayne Brady Show.

Wayne Alphonso Brady was born in 1972 in Columbus, Georgia. He celebrates his birthday on June 2, which makes his age 49. He was born to Wayne Brady and Lindamarie Newton but grew up with his grandmother, Valerie Peterson. His father passed away at the age of 45. He has a younger sister named Kimberly.
