The former Full House star Bob Saget was found unresponsive in a hotel room. Police have disclosed some details regarding his death.

Bob Saget, who shot to fame as Danny Tanner on Full House, has died aged 65. He was known as a comedian’s comedian, a unique Hollywood talent who could play a nice father on prime time while yet maintaining a stand-up presence by pursuing dark, epithet-laden comedy.

What was Bob Saget’s Cause of Death?

Multiple sources have announced that Bob Saget – who was fondly known as “America’s Dad” – died at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on January 10.

After learning that hotel security had discovered Saget unresponsive in his room, the Sheriff’s Department and the fire department arrived at the hotel at 4 p.m.

Even though Saget’s cause of death is still undetermined, police did give some details.

Orange County Sheriff’s office announced the news of Bob Saget’s death on Twitter with a statement that reads:

“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room.”

The tweet concluded:

“The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene.

In the statement, the sheriff’s office confirmed that no cause of death had been determined. According to them, there was no evidence of foul play or drug use.

The comedian and actor had been touring the country, stopping at multiple locations in Florida. He performed a show in Jacksonville on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

At around 3 am on Sunday morning, Saget had tweeted:

“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this s***.”

Who was Bob Saget?

Bob Saget, born on May 17, 1956, was a stand-up comedian, actor, director, and television host. He graduated from Abington Senior High School in 1975 and later went on to attend Temple University’s film school.

After a brief appearance on CBS’ The Morning Program in 1987, Saget landed his most memorable role as Danny Tanner in TV sitcom Full House. From 1989 to 1997, he served as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Saget directed multiple films throughout the 1990s, including For Hope and Dirty Work. He narrated the sitcom How I Met Your Mother as the voice of future Ted Mosby.

Saget reprised his role as Danny Tanner in the Full House sequel series, Fuller House from 2016 until 2020. In 2019, he made his return to hosting, with ABC’s Videos After Dark and CMT game show, Nashville Squares.

Was Bob Saget Married?

The Full House star was married twice. He married Sherri Kramer in 1982 and welcomed three children together – Aubrey, Lara Melanie, and Jennifer Belle Saget. The two divorced in 1997 after 15 years of marriage.

Saget then tied the knot with journalist Kelly Rizzo in 2018.
