Drew Brees is a former NFL player who played for the New Orleans Saints as a quarterback. He gained immediate success with the Saints as he led the team to their first-ever Super Bowl in Super Bowl XLIV and helped the team emerge victorious against Indianapolis Colts with a 31-17. He retired after the 2020 season and started working as an analyst at NBC Sunday Night Football and Notre Dame Football on NBC.

Married To His College Sweetheart

Drew is married to his college sweetheart, Brittany Dudchenko. The duo attended the same university and met each other at a party. After dating for a while, the pair tied the knot in February 2003. The same year, the married couple also established a foundation, Brees Dream Foundation.

Drew’s three sons are already following their father’s footsteps, and he also coachers their flag football team. On the other hand, the former NFL player admitted that his daughter had him wrapped around her finger since birth.

Drew and his wife completed their dream family as the NFL player admitted wanting a family with three sons and a daughter. The family of six happily resides in New Orleans.

An Asset for New Orleans Saints

Drew played college football at Prude University and led the college team to several victories against other higher-rated teams. He won numerous awards and accolades while breaking many records.

San Diego Chargers selected Drew in the 2001 NFL Draft, but he didn’t get much playtime in his rookie season. After replacing Doug Flutie, he racked up over 200 passing yards and his first touchdown pass. After the Chargers refused to increase his salary in a new five-year contract, Drew signed with the New Orleans Saints.

In 2008, Drew became the second NFL player in history to throw over 5,000 yards in a single season. He was also named the Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 2010. He won the triple crown in 2011 and broke the NFL record for most passing yards in a single season, with 5,084.

Drew had signed a 6-year, $60 million contract with Saints, followed by a $100-million and a $50 million deal in 2018. He retired after the 2020 season and joined the NBC Network. He is now an analyst for NBC Sunday Night Football and Notre Dame Football on NBC.

Andrew Christopher Brees was born in 1979 in Dallas, Texas. He celebrates his birthday on January 15, which makes his age 42. He was born to Eugene Wilson “Chip” Brees II and Mina Ruth.
