Liza and Ryan first met at Harvard University, where they got attached to each other thanks to their common interest in soccer. Soon after graduating from the university, the two moved in together but kept their relationship a secret.
Ryan popped the question to Liza in November 2006, during his NFL rookie season. He made the proposal at a McDonald’s joint while Liza was munching her favorite chicken nuggets. The two got married at a private event in the same year.
Liza’s husband, Ryan, never removes his wedding ring, including during games. In an interview with the New York Times, Ryan said:
