His Fiancee is “Love Island Australia” Season 1 Winner

The Richmond star has booked himself a “goddess-like beauty” as his partner. You get it right! His fiancee is none other than Tayla Damir, the winner of the Love Island Australia season one.

After dating for over a year, the lovebirds announced their engagement back in June. The three-time AFL premiership player proposed to Damir for marriage at their home in Melbourne.

Damir, 24, shared the news showing off her stunning diamond ring in a selfie on Instagram. On the post, she described Broad as her ‘forever love’. She also wrote:

‘I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.’

Most recently, Damir revealed that she and Broad are waiting to reunite with their families before making wedding plans. She said:

‘We’re just hoping to get home to Perth eventually to celebrate with our family. We haven’t been able to do that yet so we’re looking forward to that.’

The former Love Island star continued:

‘We’re just waiting for everything to get back to normal, and then we’ll lock something in later.

The couple is waiting for the border restrictions to get lifted and finally say “I Do.”

A Three-Time AFL Premiership Player

Nathan Broad was drafted by Richmond as the 67th overall pick in the 2015 AFL national draft. He made his AFL debut in round 14 of the 2016 AFL season against Brisbane at the MCG, where he recorded 14 disposals and five marks. After the club’s next match, he was demoted to VFL level for the rest of the season.

In the 2017 season, Broad played AFL games from round 17 and remained in the side for the rest of the season. In his tenth game of the season, he won a premiership medal, and his side had a premiership win.

After being embroiled in the naked woman photograph scandal, Broad was suspended for the first three matches of the 2018 AFL season. After his return to AFL level, he held averages of 10.6 disposals and three marks per game.

The 6′ 5″ tall Broad executed impressive performances in the 2019 season. He finished the season winning a second AFL premiership, playing a career-best 24 matches, and placing 16th in the club’s best and fairest count. The next season, he had his third premiership win and was awarded two Norm Smith Model votes for his eight disposal performance in the preliminary final win.

In the 2021 season, Broad has already played in 14 matches and set new career highs for disposals (16.4) and marks (6.4) per game.
